BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Reverend Dr. Timothy F. Slater
The Reverend Dr. Timothy F. Slater currently serves as the Headmaster at the Cabrera Christian Classical Academy in the Dominican Republic. Cabrera Christian is a top-tier private, comprehensive, international K-12 school on the north-central coast of the Dominican Republic bringing up youth to be wise and virtuous leaders who are committed to Christian values. Dr. Slater is happily married to Dr. Stephanie J. Slater, an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-level cognitive scientist specializing in how people learn. They have four adult children, three granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter.
More commonly known locally as Profesore or even just as Pastor Tim, he is commissioned as an international Chaplain in the United Nations International Police Commission (Badge #53243ONU.63; Rank of Major) Capehalecons de Paz that works closely with Interpol and local governments to provide security, protection, rescue services, and education to the residents of the Dominican Republic.
Pastor Tim is a minister in good standing formally ordained by several international organizations including the National Association of Christian Ministers (NACM ID22785), American Marriage Ministries (AMM ID1527610), and the Universal Life Church Ministries. He is widely recognized as a Christian-based leader in the Dominican Republic who regularly leads engaging Bible studies and conducts individualized weddings that are highly popular with attendees.
As a follower of Christ, his personal statement of faith is consistent with a wide set of mainstream churches and includes that (i) God created the heavens and the Earth; (ii) the Bible is the inerrant word of God; (iii) Jesus is the son of the triune God who served as an all-encompassing sacrifice for all mankind’s’ sins before ascending into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God; and (iv) eternal salvation is based entirely on faith in Jesus Christ alone.
